Yangon – Dr. Naing Htoo Lwin, who was said “killed” by the military junta at the clash between Falam and Hakha, is still alive, captive and jailed by Myanmar’s junta.
Mr Naing is trained medical doctor who joined CDM and subsequently joined Chin National Army and completed the military training. He was disappeared at the clash with the military junta between Hakha and Falam Township, Chin State.
A source who has requested anonymity told The Chindwin that the person with direct knowledge of Dr. Naing Htoo Lwin said that he was jailed together with Dr Naing Htoo Lwin, saying that he is alive and currently at the military junta’s jail.
Chin National Army (CNA) had released the confirmation of his passing at the battlefront line on 24 October, citing that the clothes seen on a body near Taal village, Falam Township were resembling to that of the clothes worn by Dr. Naing Htoo Lwin.
However, after sending a marathon of quotes of honors “Rest In Peace” for Dr Naing Htoo Lwin, our source has confirmed that he is alive, arrested and currently at the junta’s jail in Chin State.
