Commander-In-Chief of Thai Royal Army meets the junta coup leader in Rakhine state of Myanmar

The Thai Royal Army's chief is visiting Myanmar to meet with the junta coup leader in Thandwe town where the junta regime army has a strategic navy base in Rakhine state of western region.

(CHINDWIN): Thai Royal Army’s chief General Chalermphon Srisawasdi has landed at Thandwe airport in Rakhine state of Myanmar to attend the high-level meeting with the junta coup leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The Thai delegate, led by General Chalermphon, has a dinner party with a group of generals picked up for the meeting by the junta regime leader in Jasmine hotel in Thandwe town.

An unverified source says the meeting is aimed at discussing cooperation between the two countries over efforts to crack down on ethnic armed groups and People Defense Forces based and active across the Thai-Myanmar border lines in Karen, Mon and Taningtharyi regions.

The visit has left ethnic armed groups, especially those based across the Thai – Myanmar border lines in awe as one the powerful persons from the neighbouring country is visiting the coup regime amid the ongoing civil war.

Fighting is often times occurring nearly every week across Thai – Myanmar border lines.

Yet, the border gate at Myawaddy town has recently opened – much to the delight of the junta regime after being closed down for two years as the spies of the junta regime can easily penetrate the opposition networks based in Mae Sot town of Thailand.
