Daw Aung San Suu Kyi confirms her support for Myanmar’s shadow Government

Reposted from 21 Sept due to technical issue

The ousted State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi reportedly said she will never go against the will of the people when she was asked about the National Unity Government (NUG).

“Sate Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was asked about the current political situation during her in-person court appearance today” local news outlet Khit Thit Media reported  on 20 September on its official Facebook page.

The question was asked as there has been widespread speculations that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi does not accept the formation of NUG, according to Khit Thit Media.

Our sources confirm that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi urged National Unity Government and CRPH (Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw to be careful about whatever they do according to the Lady’s lawyers U Khin Maung Zaw and Daw Min Min Soe.

Aung San Suu Kyi remains in her role as State Counsellor in the newly formed NUG, a parallel government formed by ousted lawmakers following the 1 February coup.

She has been placed under house-arrest following attempted military coup on 1 February and is currently faces multiple charges, including illegal possession of walkie-talkie and violation of a state secret law, punishable by 14 years in prison.
