Myanmar junta forces carry out airstrikes in Tabayin and Khin-U townships in Sagaing Region

Two helicopters of the Myanmar military junta reportedly carried out over two hundred airstrikes and dropped heavy reinforcement troops this afternoon, January 14.
“Two attack military helicopters and a passenger helicopter were seen taking off from headquarters of Northwest Command at around 12:40 pm, one of the helicopters carried out airstrikes against villages in East of Tabayin township. Similarly, the second one carried out airstrikes at Te Kone Gyi village in Khin-U township, and the third one dropped several reinforcement troops,” according to a local source.
“They blindly carried out airstrikes although there was no fighting in those areas. The two helicopters fired around two hundred times, and the third helicopter just dropped reinforcement troops,” a local reported.
” The helicopter dropped around 100 troops near Te Kone Gyi village,” a local continued.
After suffering heavy losses in the ground fights against the newly formed local defense forces across the country, the Myanmar junta forces heavily rely on airstrikes.
Indiscriminate airstrikes carried out by the junta forces have killed hundreds of civilians in Sagaing and Magway regions in recent months.
