Yangon – Four villagers are reported brutally murdered by Myanmar’s junta in Nagadwin village in Depeyin Township, Sagaing region.
After the junta troops left the village, the villagers found the four bodies brutally murdered with what appears to used the same method in killing them, a local has confirmed to Kachin News Group (KNG).
Identifies of the slain are not yet known at the time of reporting.
The junta has sent heavy forces in the Depeyin areas and made an offensive against the Depeyin townships with three groups, firing heavy weapons since 07 December.
Local Depeyin People Defense Force has warned residents to be extra-cautious of the approaching junta’s arbitrary arrest and using civilians as a human shield in the western areas of the township.
Due to the increased military offensive in the area, more than ten villages with around 5,000 villagers are forcibly internally displaced, running in the jungles for hiding, KNG reported.
