Hakha (Chindwin): Local residents were in shock witnessing the crash of Myanmar junta’s helicopter in Hakha – the capital city of Chin State this morning at around 10:00 am.
Locals are prohibited to visit the scenes of where the helicopter is down. But helicopter is badly damaged with the wing thrown away from its body as pictures emerge later through the junta’s mouthpiece media.
Myanmar’s junta spokesperson General Zaw Min Tun confirms to the junta’s mouthpiece NP news that two officers of the junta army and three staff members of Department of Education are injured at the result of the crash.

Despite the hospital in Hakha city being occupied by the junta army for months, a person with direct knowledge of hospital confirms the junta army brought in few people for in-patient treatment and the junta troops have beefed up security around the hospital and phone calls to hospital staff are restricted.
According to the information provided by the junta, the helicopter is bringing in the matriculation examination papers and hit by the strong wind at the hilltop of Hakha just before it is landed.
However, locals believe that the junta has been air dropping money and other means of reinforcement by the end of each month for its administration staff members in Hakha by the end of the money as road transport link is not accessible for the junta due to the local civilian resistance forces controlling a large swathe of the land in Chin State.
Last month, the junta’s fighter jet was crashed while in the training and its pilot was killed in Magwe region.
