Over 20 Myanmar junta soldiers die in clashes with MNDAA in Northern Shan State

Fighting between MNDAA and Myanmar junta forces has intensified as clashes occurred six times within a day in the Kokang region, Northern Shan State, on 21 November 2021.

“The junta forces fired heavy artilleries and Mortars over 900 times at MNDAA’s base in Shigyikya mountains, and Manyan areas of Mongkhoke district,” according to Tachiliek News Agency.

Over 20 junta soldiers reportedly died during the two offensive operations carried out by the Myanmar military’s forces of LIB-15 under LID (99) and LIB-105 under LID (77) against MNDAA’s base at Manyan. One member of MNDAA also died in the clashes.

MNDAA has seized weapons and ammunition left behind by junta’s forces in multiple clashes around Monkhoke district.
