The junta artillery hits a Christian Bible College in the northern Shan state of Myanmar

The junta regime purposefully fires artillery last night against a Christian Bible College in northern town of Shan state, injuring four college students. The regime shelled the artillery against the Christian college while there was no report of fighting in town nor nearby.

(CHINDWIN): Amid the increasingly growing tension between the junta army and Kachin ethnic armed group known as Kachin Independence Army (KIA), the Christian Theological Seminary – a mission college run by Kachin Baptist Church was hit by the junta artillery at about 8:00 pm yesterday in Kutkai town of Shan state, Myanmar.

A local, who lives in Kutkai town, wrote on social media that the junta regime purposefully fired the artillery targeting the Christian college as there was no fighting in the town or nearby.

As as result of landing the shell, Chindwin learns that four college students are reportedly injured.

The town residents have confirmed to local media that there was no clash reported in the town nor near the town.

Thousands of ethnic Kachin people live in the northern region of Shan state, with some of the northern territory close to the Kachin state remaining under the control of the Kachin Independence Army.
