Residents in Yangon are quite shocked this morning to see big military transport aircraft taking off from Yangon International airport and flying over the city while there is very minimal commercial flight activity at the airport.
Locals report that they have witnessed the military aircraft flying over Yangon from Mayangon township and Bayinnnaung market.

“There has been an increased frequency of military plane activities at Yangon International airport while there is very little activity for civilians,” a local resident in Yangon said to Khit Thit media.
Other local resident also reported that four military aircraft took off from the airport this morning [Myanmar Time].
Locals living in Mayangon township and Bayinnnaung market in Yangon witness the military aircraft flying over the city and they could snap the picture of the aircraft.
The photos of which the aircraft appear to be flying over Yangon city are provided to Khit Thit media – a local media news organization based in Yangon.
One local at Bayinnaung market said to the media that “the three aircraft are big and unusually flying together”.
At recent times, there is frequent air traffic at the airport transporting the military equipment bought from China and Russia, according to a source quoted from inside the military by Khit Thit media.
Myanmar’s military junta is losing big in the clashes with People Defense Forces in Magwe, Sagaing and Karenni State and Chinland Defense Forces in Chin State. The military junta has been carrying out airstrikes against the civilian militia forces and regularly using heavy artillery in Chin State and Karenni State, for which dozens of residential properties were burned and damaged.
