A member of Launglon People’s Defense Force (PDF) was killed in a clash with the Myanmar junta’s forces on 21 November.
A coalition force of PDF-Launglon and PDF-Dawei District (DDT) carried out a remote landmine attack against vehicles of the Military council’s police forces and they exchanged fire following the landmine attack.
“A Comrade Maung Nyein Chan of Launglon-PDF was killed in the clash,” said the statement released by PDF-Launglon.
Launglon-PDF Comrades held the funeral of Maung Nyein Chan at 3.30 pm (Myanmar Time) today, 22 November.
“We, Dawei and Launglon Students Unions salute and pay the highest respect to our comrade, Maung Nyein Chan for his dedication and the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country,” the statement continued.
