450 Junta soldiers killed at the cost of heavy loss for civilians in Kayah State

Yangon (Chindwin) : At the cost of heavy loss for the civilians in Kayah (Karenni) State, Karenni National Defense Forces have killed 450 junta soldiers since the start of armed confrontation in May. 

At the time of reporting, our source has confirmed that Myanmar military junta is launching a big offensive against the Karenni People Defense Forces in Mobye Town, Kayah [Karenni] State. 

The Mobye Town has been bombarded by the military junta’s shelling of heavy artillery and other heavy weapons since nearly 4 hours ago. 

PKPF also just releases a brief statement on the war and current political situation in Kayah State since the military coup on 01 February. 

From May to 16 November, there are 109 battles of which 19 in May, 18 in June, 9 in July, 23 in August, 21 in September, 17 in October and 10 in November. 

Casualties from Karenni Army (KA) and Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) are recorded at 32 in total, with 8 in May, 6 in June, 14 in September, 2 in October, and 2 in November. 

As of 16 November, the civilian casualty has been one of the highest, reaching 102 in total, 1 in March, 3 in April, 24 in May, 36 in June, 4 in July, 19 in September, 12 in October, and 3 in October November. 

A total of 421 residential properties were recorded “destroyed” by the burning and shelling of heavy artillery across the Kayah State. 

On the side of the Myanmar military junta, the report says the killing of 450 soldiers, with 118 in May, 32 in June, 22 in July, 94 in August, 74 in September, 59 in October and 51 in November. 

The report adds that 19 military trucks have been completely smashed. 

The military junta has arbitrarily arrested 174 civilians, with 9 in March, 79 in April, 7 in May, 11 in June, 4 in July, 14 in August, 15 in September, 20 in October and 15 in November.
