Ten soldiers killed at an attack against military convoy in Kayah State

Yangon (Chindwin): Mobye People Defense Force (MB-PDF) has released a statement about their engagement with the military council’s soldiers. The intense fighting occurred yesterday in which MB- PDF claimed they had killed at least 10 military council soldiers and injured many at a battle yesterday.

Myanmar military council is gearing up sending strategic reinforcements and supplies across the country. More significantly, the military council is sending big convoys to areas where fighting with people defense forces and ethnic armed groups are concurrently severe. 

In Kayah (Karenni) State, a joint force of MB-PDF and KNDF BO-3 (KNDF battalion 3) has carried out an offensive attack against the junta’s convoy of around 50 junta’s soldiers with five trucks approaching Mobye from Pekhon, leaving at least 10 dead and many injured. 

The statement reads that the battle lasted 15 minutes, and the combined force retreated safely with no injuries. 

Later at night, the military junta force opened fire on the town at Mobye and shelled at least ten rounds of artillery. 

The shooting and shelling of artillery landed on the town has killed a lady aged 44 and injured other five civilians including two children aged 3 girl and nine-year-old boy. The others are described as a lady aged 54 and two men aged 31 man and 56.
