Myanmar military regime announces new curfew for the capital of the northern state as new fighting erupted

(Chindwin): The junta regime announced that there would be no gathering for more than five people in the capital of Kachin state and a shutdown period from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am starting on 08 August in Myitkyina – the capital of the northern state of Myanmar.

The curfew, announced by the junta’s township Administration Office in the city, is dated 08 August, which says protest, public speaking, street rally, gathering for more than five people, car honking, destroying and a group of people more than five on the street are all prohibited.

The move is made to clamp down the opposition as new fighting in the western area of Kachin state has been flaring up while local People Defense Forces appear to launch targeted attacks against the junta regime in Myitkyina.

The junta regime’s Administration building and Innwa Bank in Bhamo town were on fire as a result of a bomb attack on 10 August.
